Hi, my name is Sheila and I hunt ufos ;P One of the methods I use to capture the ufos on video (which is mentioned in the news story) is by utilizing a city-owned webcam that is located on the top of a skyscraper downtown. It is controllable, by anyone, from their computer. You can pan/zoom, brighten, etc. And it does have surprisingly exceptional quality. So that's one of the things I use, this is what I do.
