Hi there !!
You might want to start with The department of Social services, they can guide you as where to go to get your brother assistance. You can find them in the government pages in a phone book. You might want to look up agencies as well for people with dissabilities , maybe united way could help. If your brother is on SSI, doesn’t he get medicare ? You could ask Social Security about that.
wishing you the best
love light and peace
Is your brother on SSI/disability and already getting payments?
If so take him to your local SSI office. They will help him sign up for medicare/medicaid and will help him determine whether he needs to go to Dept of Human Services for more financial aid, medical card, and/or food stamps.
The federal government has a basic plan for everyone. Each state government has supplemental plans. Many cities have additional plans or help for the disabled.
Also contact your church, they may be able to help for a limited time.
Also, was he a veteran, an educator, or government employee? If so he may be eligible for even more assistance.
Good luck
